A Little Blind Date Action.

This is Miss Chelsi J coming to you live with a little guest post for your Friday Afternooner.

Blind Date.

No, not the show I used to secretly watch.
We just relocated our booties to Eagle, Id.
If you need to know anything about me it’s that I need people. I may not be a little miss social lite, but I need me some girl peeps.
This is what led me to attempting my first friend “blind” date. Before this week there is no way in H-E-Double Hockey Sticks that I would have even thought about going to lunch with a girl that was introduced to me on FB through another girl that I have met twice, and the only reason we have crossed paths is because she is married to a distant friend of my husband’s that I have only met maybe twice as well.
Did you follow that?
To put it simply it was truly a blind date.
I made sure to take extra long getting ready. Should I let her pick me up? Or is the car ride going to be awkward? Should I text or call her when I get there? These and many other thoughts crossed my mind but I wasn’t missing out on an opportunity to finally meet a friend. {Queue Desperation}
I opted for the meet her there approach. How did it go?
Let’s just say we sat outside and talked for 2 hours. I was in “blind” date heaven.
The truth is. The truth is at the end of the day WE need friends. The older we get the harder it is to make them. Whether you have been friends for centuries or met last week. You’ll realize they need us, just as much as we need them.
This is my BEGINNING to finding Happiness here in Idaho.

Don't forget to send your PICS of anything and everything that comes to mind when you think of BEGINNING. Can't wait to see!

  2. Amen sister. When we first moved to Temecula... last year I had no friends & kind of slipped into a depression mode. My husband set me up with a girl he randomly saw at church that he said, "looked like me". She FB messaged me to get my number & then we went over to her house for a play date. We have been bff's ever since.

    So happy you made a friend!
